TO THE BIBLE: Job 22:29 KJV
“When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.”
LET’S TALK
“I don’t know what’s going on. It feels like everything in my life is just falling apart. Everywhere I look, it’s just bad news,” Ethan sighed as he slumped on his friend Liam’s bed.
Liam glanced up from his desk, his voice steady and calm. “Don’t start thinking like that, Ethan. You’re not like everyone else. You’re a child of God.”
“Do you really think so?” Ethan asked, his tone uncertain.
“I don’t just think so; I know so,” Liam responded firmly. “You play by a different set of rules. Always remember that.”
Ethan’s situation might feel familiar. Sometimes, life throws so much negativity your way that it’s hard to see past it. But what Liam said is exactly how you should think: you’re not like everyone else.
The Bible says, “When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up…” (Job 22:29). Instead of giving in to the negativity, you should declare boldly, “There’s lifting up for me!”
But what does that really mean? To say “There’s lifting up” is to declare that God’s power is at work in your life to elevate you no matter what’s going on around you. It’s about rising above challenges, being promoted, and seeing blockages removed.
Maybe something has been weighing you down, or you feel stuck in a situation, or you’re waiting on a promotion or opportunity that seems elusive.
Remember what the Bible says: “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge…” (Psalm 75:6-7). Promotion comes from God! So, instead of focusing on the problem, focus on the One who lifts you up.
Even if you’ve made mistakes, it’s not the end of your story. If you feel like you’re in a mess of your own making, don’t let guilt keep you there.
The Bible says God lifts the poor from the dust and the beggar from the ash heap to set them among princes (1 Samuel 2:8). He doesn’t just pull you out—He places you in positions of honor and glory.
No matter what’s happening, lift your hands to heaven and declare: “There’s lifting up for me!” Glory, Hallelujah!

Pray:
Dear Father, I thank you for the assurance of your lifting power in my life. I refuse to be discouraged by the challenges around me. Instead, I declare that I’m making progress, prospering and waxing great in every area of my life! The greater One lives in me, and He’s made me bigger, greater and superior to inflation, insecurity, sickness, disease and the devil. I’m a victor in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!
