The Reason He Came – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional December 2nd

(He Came To Give You Life To The Fullest)

TO THE BIBLE: John 10:10 AMPC
“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).”

LET’S TALK
Our opening verse is super encouraging and energising. It says clearly that Jesus came so you can have and enjoy life to the fullest.

Think about that for a moment: He came and gave up His life so you can live an amazing, overflowing life. That’s His plan, and He doesn’t want anything to take that away from you.

This is different from what religion teaches (by the way, Christianity is not a religion). In some religions, the people are told they have to sacrifice themselves to make God happy.

But in Christ, it’s the opposite. He sacrificed Himself for you. He gave His life so you could have His life.

The Bible says, “…God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

In 1 John 3:16, the Apostle John says, “We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers and sisters” (NASB).

Thank God, after He laid down His life for us, He was raised back to life so we could be made right with God. Because of this, you can have and enjoy life to the fullest, till it overflows.

It might be hard for some people to believe that He came for them to have a great life, especially if they’ve had a tough time for a long while.

Others might wonder if it’s possible to enjoy life while dealing with sickness, pain, or weakness.

The answer is clear—no! But that’s exactly why Jesus gave us His life, which is immune to sickness and disease.

1 John 5:11-12 says, “…God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” You have that life now; it’s God’s life. Enjoy it!

Your heavenly Father loves seeing you healthy, energetic, strong, joyful, and full of life. So, embrace His plan for you to have and enjoy life to the fullest.

Be filled with joy as you think about the glorious, powerful, abundant, and peaceful life He’s given you in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!
