The Onus Is On You – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional June 8th

(You Have The Choice To Fulfil God’s Plan For Your Life)

TO THE BIBLE: Ephesians 2:10 AMPC
“For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].”

LET’S TALK
“Ashley, did you go to Church yesterday? You’re aware yesterday was Sunday, right?” Beatrice asked.
“Yeah, God didn’t let me go because my steps are predestinated by the Lord!” Ashley replied.

“No, Ashley, that’s wrong because you chose not to go! Remember Hebrews 10:25 TPT says: ‘This is not the time to pull away and neglect meeting together, as some have formed the habit of doing….’ God won’t force you to do His Word; you’re the one to fulfil His plans for you.”
“Okay Bee, I’m sorry I missed Church; I’ll be there next time.”

Sometimes people wonder about predestination. Well, for those in Christ, the answer is simple: Yes! The Bible says He predestinated us for the good life; we just read it in our opening verse!

On the other hand, others wonder about another idea of God controlling their every act or making decisions for them: “Is God responsible for everything that happens in my life?

Does God make me do things beyond my will?” they ask. No, not really, because you’re a free moral agent; you’re responsible for your decisions and actions.

The day you become an adult, you become responsible for your life, and the onus comes on you to make the right decisions in line with God’s destiny and perfect will for you.

Just because God predestined your life in Christ for something doesn’t mean you’ll fulfil it. People don’t necessarily become what God planned for them to be.

It’s a personal choice you make to fulfil God’s plan for your life and be all that He’s destined you to be.

Apostle Paul told Archippus: “…Fulfill the stewardship which you have received in the Lord” (Colossians 4:17 AMPC).

If the man didn’t have the responsibility of fulfilling the ministry that God committed to him, Paul wouldn’t have instructed him to see to it that he fulfilled it.

So today, make up your mind that you’ll be everything God has destined you to be, do all that He’s predestined you to do, and walk in His pre-ordained pathways.

Speak:
I’m walking in pre-ordained pathways, rightly positioned in God’s place of opportunity and set on the path of success, glory, victory and divine destiny! The course of events in my life has been structured by God to bring Him glory, for He’s the One at work in me both to will and to do His good pleasure. Hallelujah!
