The God-Born – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional June 27th

(You’re Not Ordinary; You’re Born Of God)

TO THE BIBLE: John 1:12-13
“…As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

LET’S TALK
The life of a Christian is anything but ordinary. He’s born into God’s class. Being born again made you a partaker of the divine nature, an associate of the God-kind (2 Peter 1:4).

When you were born of your biological parents, you became an associate of the humankind; you became as human as your parents who gave birth to you.

However, the human life you got from your parents was flawed, depraved, and death-doomed. Therefore, it needed to be replaced by the life and nature of God. It’s the reason Jesus said, “Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again’” (John 3:7).

Now that you’re born again, the unstoppable, indestructible, and heavenly life of God has replaced the old human life. Wrap your head around this: We’re literally God’s children, born of His own essence!

No wonder John cries out, “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God… Beloved, now we are children of God…” (1 John 3:1-2).

Everything in life reproduces after its kind. An eagle reproduces eagles, a dog gives birth to dogs, and humans give birth to humans. Now, since God gave birth to us, who are we?

The Lord Jesus, quoting the Psalmist, gives us the answer. He said, “…Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”’?” (John 10:34). T

hink about yourself the same way you’d think about Jesus when He walked the earth—how He lived, His extraordinary walk! The scripture declares, “…As He is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17). Hallelujah!
