(He Is Your Righteousness)
TO THE BIBLE: Romans 3:24-26
“…Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.”
LET’S TALK
Some people still pride themselves in their own righteousness; they think their pious and so-called saintly religious gaiety is what will answer for them before God. They believe their moral uprightness equates to right standing with the Lord, but that’s self-deception.
Isaiah 64:6 shows that all human righteousness is as filthy rags before God. You ought to do away with your own righteousness and only embrace God’s righteousness.
How? By accepting the righteousness that God gives by your faith in Christ Jesus! When you receive that righteousness, you receive the very nature of God and become as righteous as Jesus is righteous.
God never examines you based on your righteousness as a human person; rather, He looks at Jesus! Moreover, because Christ is your righteousness, nobody can be more righteous than you are! Nobody can claim to be better than you are.
There’s absolutely no room for anyone to boast about being better than another person in Christ! That’s why Romans 3:27 says, “Where is boasting then? It is excluded….” All boasting has been cancelled and made ineffective.
God is your justifier; He’s the One who declares you righteous because of your faith in Jesus Christ. You’re not to try or struggle to become righteous, rather, wear His righteousness! Accept and function in His righteousness.
The Bible says He is just and the justifier of the one who believes in Jesus, not the one who struggles to be righteous. Therefore, when God examines you about righteousness, He looks at Jesus, because He is your righteousness (1 Corinthians 1:30)!

Pray:
Father, I thank you because I don’t have my own righteousness but the righteousness which is of God by faith; I thank you for giving me your righteousness, I don’t struggle or try to be righteous because I’ve already been made righteous; I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!
