(Examine Your Life Closely)
TO THE BIBLE: 2 Corinthians 13:5
“Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.”
LET’S TALK
Angelo was usually the talk of the top floor of the school’s senior block. His schoolmates marvelled at his excellent display of skill in sport and his brilliance at classwork: nothing he did ever seemed to fail!
Even his teachers were awed at his quick perception whenever he responded with the right answers to their questions, whilst being courteous, respectful and modest. Angelo was the perfect student in their minds and his classmates envied him.
“How in the world do you do these things, ‘Gelo?” his best friend, Ted, asked him.
He responded, “I’m a Christian before anything else, and long ago, I made up my mind to be and express God’s best in all I do. Jesus lives in me and He shows up big time in me, making me excellent in every possible way.”
Just like Angelo, you can express the very best of God in and through you. As a Christian, your daily life is actually the loudest voice that gives expression to your belief.
Therefore, you ought to review what you truly believe and determine whether or not you’re living the authentic Christian life by examining your own life.
“What kind of life am I living?” “Have I been putting the Word to work?” Ponder on these thoughts from time to time as you evaluate your life with the sole purpose of improving the excellence of your character.
Your inner personality, the excellence and integrity of your character are revealed through your words; hence, your words should be your bond (Matthew 12:37).
One of the ways the world around you can see Jesus in you is through your character, which is often expressed in your words; therefore, maintain godly communication, every time and everywhere.

Pray:
I thank you, Father, for giving me your Word, which gives me the right mindset and excellent character. My life is the reflection of your grace, love, truth, and righteousness, as I live to your glory, in the Lordship of your Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
