Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional November 1st – The Father’s Words

(Speak The Words That God Speaks)

TO THE BIBLE: John 12:29 NIV
“For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken.”

LET’S TALK:
In Luke 7:11-17, Jesus was on a long journey to the city of Nain, and when He arrived at the city gate, He saw a funeral procession of a young man who was a widow’s only son.

Moved with compassion, He touched the casket and said, “…“Young man, I say to you, arise.” So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He presented him to his mother” (Luke 7:14-15). He raised that young man back to life with nothing but words!

On another occasion, He quietened a raging storm, as the Bible tells us in Mark 4:39 NIV: “He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.”

It made no difference how turbulent the winds and waves were; Jesus hushed them to sleep with words.

His words had the desired effect every time, and that’s because the words He spoke came from the Father. He said in John 12:50 NIV, “…whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.”

You might be reading this and wondering why some of the words you speak don’t produce the desired results. Perhaps you’re not speaking words from the Father.

Jesus spoke the Father’s words. He knew exactly the right words to say in every situation, to everyone and concerning everything. The secret is what He told us in our opening verse.

From today, you can and should have Jesus’ kind of results, because the Father has given you words to speak. Don’t speak words that you learnt from the world; speak the Word of God.

Get your language from the Word of God. That’s why you have to keep studying the Scriptures (2 Timothy 2:15), so you can think and talk like Jesus and have His extraordinary results.
