(God’s Love Is A Constant Reality!)
TO THE BIBLE: 1 John 3:1 NIV
“How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!”
LET’S TALK
God loves you with an everlasting love; it’s love without limits. Think about it: we who shouldn’t have been known of God, who shouldn’t have ever come close to God are now, as a result of the superabundant love He’s lavished upon us, accepted of Him. We’re now called the sons of God.
1 John 3:2 AMPC says, “Beloved, we are [even here and] now God’s children; it is not yet disclosed (made clear) what we shall be [hereafter], but we know that when He comes and is manifested, we shall [as God’s children] resemble and be like Him, for we shall see Him just as He [really] is.”
Notice it’s not talking about us becoming the sons of God when we get to heaven; it’s not futuristic; we’re sons of God now!
As He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). In the exact manner that He is loved by God, so are we. The Father loves you as much as He loves Jesus.
God loves you today; He’s not waiting for a time when you will qualify for His love; He loves you now; take advantage of His everlasting love for you. He loves you as though you were the only one on earth!
Not only is His love for you without limits, but it’s also unconditional. 1 John 4:10 says, “In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”
So, clearly, He demonstrated His boundless love for us, even while we were yet in sin. Have faith in that love, for it’s been poured out abundantly for you.
