TO THE BIBLE: Luke 8:48
“And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”

LET’S TALK
“Jesus, Son of David! Please heal us!” two blind men chanted repetitively while trailing Jesus.
“Do you believe I can heal you?” Jesus turning to them, asked.
“Without a shred of doubt, yes, we believe.” They cried out in unison.

Jesus then touched them, and immediately, their eyes popped open; their faith-response connected them to their miracle (Matthew 20:30-34)!

Romans 10:10 shows us that believing is from the heart. You don’t believe with your brain or with your mind; you believe with your spirit. When you believe with your spirit and respond according to your believing, your faith produces results.

Luke 8:43-44 tells the story of a woman who had suffered an issue of blood for twelve years and how she received her healing just by touching the hem of Jesus’ garment. This was no ordinary touch because the Lord felt the impact of it, so much so that He asked, “Who touched me?”

Knowing she had been healed, the woman fell down before the Master and told Him what happened. The Lord then said to her, “…Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well…” (Luke 8:48). The Master identified her faith as what made her whole.

It was her faith that touched Jesus and connected her to her healing. It was a spiritual touch. She saw the Lord Jesus beyond the physical man; she saw Him as the Son of God and touched Him with her spirit. Faith is of the spirit.

Your faith is what makes the connection, and that faith comes from your spirit and not your brain. When she had heard of Jesus, the woman with the issue of blood said to herself, “…If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well” (Matthew 9:21). She believed, confessed what she believed, and went for her miracle. You can do the same!
