(Serve The Lord Without Any Fear Or Trepidation)
TO THE BIBLE: 1 Corinthians 15:58 MSG
“With all this going for us, my dear, dear friends, stand your ground. And don’t hold back. Throw yourselves into the work of the Master, confident that nothing you do for him is a waste of time or effort.”
LET’S TALK
The Bible reveals the calibre of Daniel’s enemies in Daniel 6:7: all the presidents of the kingdom, governors, princes, counsellors, and captains!
They planned to enact a decree that would accuse Daniel of being devoted to God rather than the king! Daniel, aware of the horrific plot, may have prayed, “O Lord, don’t let the king sign the edict; don’t let their plans come to pass.” Yet, according to the Bible, “King Darius signed the decree” (Daniel 6:9 MSG).
Here’s an amazing fact: When Daniel learned the decree had been signed, the Bible says he returned home, walked upstairs to a room where he could be seen, and continued in prayer to God three times a day as he’d always done (Daniel 6:10). He was not going to conceal his love for the Lord or compromise his faithfulness to prayer.
As a result, he was detained and placed in the lions’ den. Someone might wonder, “How could God have forsaken Daniel in spite of his prayers and unwavering faithfulness?” No!
Whatever the situation, the Lord never abandons or leaves us. By a miracle, those lions’ mouths were shut around Daniel (read Daniel 6:22).
God intended for Daniel’s experience to serve as an eternal testimony. Consider this: Even after hundreds of years have passed, Daniel’s devotion to God and deliverance from the lions’ den continue to inspire us. So, it doesn’t matter the challenges against your faith; be prepared to win.
Maybe in your city or country, there’re draconian laws against the Church; don’t be moved. Don’t allow fear to enter your mind. Be bold, resolute, and tough for the Gospel.
Nothing and no one—groups, governments, or institutions—can stand against the Church and win. History proves it.
Jesus said concerning His Church: “And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder” (Matthew 21:44).
The adversities you face are for an eternal testimony. Therefore, serve the Lord joyfully, without fear or inhibitions. Anyone who stands in your way will be pulverized. That’s what Jesus said, and His words never fail.
