(Take Upon Yourself The Responsibility Of Prayer)
TO THE BIBLE: 1 Timothy 2:1-2
“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.”
LET’S TALK
Sometimes, when a group of people desires certain changes from their government, they express such desires by rioting and causing pandemonium in the streets.
However, this isn’t God’s way to effect a change. If you read our opening verse, you’d see clearly how to change things in your favour.
You’ve got to pray to experience peace in your nation; it’s not by bearing arms or becoming riotous.
It’s a fact that the happenings in our world today are quite concerning, but, hang on, the Church holds the solution! The Church is the only restraining power against evil on the earth today (2 Thessalonians 2:7).
That’s why you must pray instead of joining in riots and protests. If you don’t pray for your country and its leaders, where would peace come from?
The result of real intercession for everyone in your country, especially the leaders, is an overwhelming experience of God’s blessings of peace and prosperity.
When you pray and contend for the hearts of the unsaved in your country and around the world, God’s righteousness is established, and evil, turmoil, wickedness and terror, are thwarted.
So, rise to the challenge and take up the responsibility of prayer. Pray earnestly and passionately in the Spirit for the nation where you live, and her leaders, and for the rest of the world.
Pray also for ministers of the Gospel that they’d be granted more grace to preach the Gospel, with boldness and power, and that many more souls would be added to the Church all around the world.

Pray:
Dear heavenly Father, I pray that your peace, progress and prosperity will reign in the nations of the world and that the ministers of the Gospel would preach and minister your Word with boldness and power. I pray that the power and influence of their message will kindle your love in people’s hearts, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
