(Exercise Your Divine Authority Through Words)

TO THE BIBLE: Psalm 110:1-2 KJV
“The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. The Lord shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion; rule thou in the midst of thine enemies…”

LET’S TALK
“Radah,” the Hebrew word translated “rule” in Psalm 110:2, essentially means “reign.” To rule therefore mean to exercise dominion and kingly authority.

The opening scripture highlights Jesus’ authority as our High Priest in heaven, from where He reigns with power and authority.

For example, the phrase “the rod of thy strength” refers to the sceptre of His power—His kingly rule.

Psalm 45:6 (NIV) says, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.”

Hebrews 1:8 reinforces this, declaring, “But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.”

But here’s the exciting part: this authority isn’t just the Lord’s; it’s our as well! Revelation 5:10 tells us, “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” As new creations in Christ, we are kings and priests, called to reign in life.

How do kings reign? With words! In Genesis, God created the universe by speaking. He said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

The Lord Jesus also demonstrated the same power when He walked the earth. He spoke words that healed the sick, raised the dead, and transformed lives.

As believers, we carry the same authority. 1 John 4:17 reminds us, “As He is, so are we in this world.” Your words have power. Use them to speak life, create change, and exercise your God-given authority.

Reign with your words. Rule over challenges, fears, and obstacles by declaring victory. Speak boldly, knowing that the authority of Christ is in you.

Speak:
I take my place of dominion and I reign in the Name of Jesus over circumstances through words. The words that I speak are potent, laden with the Spirit’s power to produce fruits. I speak peace, prosperity, wellness and wholeness into the nations of the world and I declare that salvation spreads quickly into places where the light of the Gospel has been dim, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
