(Receive His Word Into Your Heart)
TO THE BIBLE: Hebrews 4:12
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit….”
LET’S TALK
“Since I started attending church, Steph, my heart has been filled with immense joy. It’s hard to put into words, but I feel truly alive!”
“Yes, Joe,” replied Steph. “I understand exactly what you mean. It’s the power of God’s Word penetrating your heart as you hear it. That’s why I prioritise attending church services above everything else.”
Yes, the Word of God is incredibly powerful! If you receive it and believe it today, it will produce amazing wonders in every area of your life: your physical well-being, academic pursuits, family relationships, financial prosperity—every aspect of your being.
I’m referring to the Word that spoke creation into existence, the Word that brought forth the heavens and the earth (John 1:3). That same Word is the power that sustains the entire universe (Hebrews 1:3).
The Word of God is incorruptible, eternal, and alive (1 Peter 1:23). It doesn’t matter where you find yourself; if you place your trust in God’s Word and believe it, it will produce tangible results.
In the parable of the Sower, Jesus explained that the seed represents the Word of God, which falls on different types of soil with varying outcomes (Luke 8:11).
A seed has the inherent power to reproduce when planted in fertile ground. The question is, is your heart receptive to the Word today? If it is, the message will multiply and bear fruit.
Just as a corn seed produces more corn and an orange seed brings forth oranges, the Word of love, hope, faith, power, prosperity, truth, strength, and soundness of mind and body that I bring you every day in this devotional will reproduce itself in your life if you receive it and believe it. It’ll fill your life with the manifestation of Christ.
In Jeremiah 4:3, the Lord warned His children, “…Plow up the hardness of your hearts; otherwise the good seed will be wasted among the thorns” (TLB).
I give you the same exhortation today. Every day, prepare your heart for the Word by engaging in prayer and speaking in tongues.
As 1 Corinthians 14:4 says, “He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself….” Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom (Colossians 3:16).
