LET’S TALK
In many nations of the world today, Christians face severe persecution daily. In some cities, talking about Jesus can even lead to jail time or having churches shut down.

Because of this, some churches are hesitant to speak out boldly, often choosing their words carefully to avoid offending local authorities.

No; as long as you’re proclaiming the truth of God’s Word, be bold. Don’t keep quiet. Declare boldly before anyone the truth that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, meaning God in the flesh. He’s the way, the truth, and the life, and no one can come into a relationship with God except by Him (John 14:6).

You might say, “But my country’s laws prohibit such statements.” Remember, Jesus Christ is the ultimate authority. He rules over heaven, earth, and everything beneath.

His authority surpasses any earthly law or government. So, who would you rather obey? The authorities in your country are subject to Him.

The Bible tells us Jesus holds the highest honour in Heaven—far above any human authority. He bears a Name that’s far beyond any name that could ever be used in this world or the world to come.

Daniel once told King Nebuchadnezzar that he needed to recognise that “Heaven rules” (Daniel 4:26 NIV). Even the greatest king of his time had to learn that God’s rule is supreme.

Dear Father, thank you for giving us power and authority in the Name of Jesus to reign and rule in this life. I proclaim, as a representative of your Kingdom here on earth, that your righteousness is established in every nation as the Gospel permeates into the hearts of all men, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
