He’s More Than Loving – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional August 9th

(He’s The Very Personification Of Love)

TO THE BIBLE: 1 John 4:8 TPT
“The one who doesn’t love has yet to know God, for God is love.”

LET’S TALK
Oftentimes, we say that God is loving; yes, He is. But it’s important to understand that love isn’t just a quality He possesses; it’s who He is. GOD IS LOVE. Love is His nature. Everything He does is love-inspired.

Ephesians 2:4-5 talks about His great and amazing love. It says, “But God still loved us with such great love. He is so rich in compassion and mercy.

Even when we were dead and doomed in our many sins, he united us into the very life of Christ and saved us by his wonderful grace!” (TPT).

When Jesus restored sight to the blind, healed the deaf, made the lame to walk, restored maimed limbs and raised the dead, they were all acts of love. He was love made flesh; He’s love personified.

There’s an account in the Bible about a woman who had suffered from hemorrhaging for twelve years. Despite the risk to her life, she pushed through the crowd to touch the hem of Jesus’ garment, seeking healing.

It’s important to understand the context here: according to the Law, anyone with a blood issue was forbidden from physical contact with others; discovery of her condition could have led to her being stoned to death.

However, the Bible says she thought to herself, “If I can just put a finger on His robe, I’ll get well.” She did and was healed instantly (Matthew 9:20-22, Mark 5:25-34, and Luke 8:43-48).

Everything the Lord Jesus is and represents is love. His communication and actions pointed everyone to the Father’s love. He was the revelation of God’s love.

He said in John 15:9 (MSG), “I’ve loved you the way my Father has loved me. Make yourselves at home in my love.” He loves you unconditionally and unequivocally. Let this inspire you today and always, and provoke in you great audacity of faith.
