God’s Glorified Comrades – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional July 16th

(You Have A Most Sublime And Imperial Identity)

TO THE BIBLE: Romans 8:30 AMPC
“…Those whom He thus foreordained, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified (acquitted, made righteous, putting them into right standing with Himself). And those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a heavenly dignity and condition or state of being].”

LET’S TALK
“Who does she think she is? Barbara always presents herself as though she’s royalty or dignified,” Marian remarked to Julie, as they watched Barbara walk by.

Barbara had really done no wrong to anyone, least of all Marian. Instead, she had made the decision to walk with the mindset of her glorified life in Christ.

Barbara had been more conscious lately since she had started a study on and reflecting on the book of Romans, especially Romans 8:30. She’d realised that she had been glorified, and this knowledge imbued her demeanour with a sense of dignity and regality.

Observe the explanation of the word “glorified” in our opening verse of scripture; it says, “…[raising them to a heavenly dignity and condition or state of being].”

In other words, when you were born again, when you came to Christ and received eternal life, you were brought into a life of heavenly dignity. You have the most sublime and most imperial identity!

Apostle John explains the fellowship that has ushered us into this life of glory: “That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ” (1 John 1:3).

The word “fellowship” here, translated from the Greek word “koinōnia,” also means partnership or comradeship. So, John is talking about a deep sense of camaraderie.

Thus, our fellowship, partnership, or “camaraderie” is with the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. Peter says we’re called to glory and excellence: “For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue)” (2 Peter 1:3 AMPC). Hallelujah!
