(There Are Different Levels Of Revelation)
TO THE BIBLE: Hosea 6:3 KJV
“Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.”
LET’S TALK
In any school, the students aren’t exposed to the same level of knowledge day in and day out. They’re taught based on the curriculum designed for the different classes.
Hence, someone in a certain class may not have all the available information on a particular subject until they ascend to a higher class.
Similarly, the Bible makes it clear that we receive the revelations of God’s Word at different levels.
Some Christians have general insight into the Word of God, while others have higher revelations of Scripture. The difference between the two groups depends on the level of truth at which they function.
For instance, some Christians believe God wants to bless them, which is beautiful. They believe God’s blessings will come into their lives when they yield to His Word and shun all manner of unbelief.
Some others have a higher revelation of the same truth; they believe God isn’t just about to bless them but that He has already blessed them. All they require is to walk in the finished work of Christ.
As beautiful as this latter truth is, there’s yet a higher revelation, which is the fact that God doesn’t need to bless you because you were born blessed! His blessing is part of the new nature you were born with!
There are more revelations of the Word than you currently have. Therefore, increase your Word-bank and constantly apply what you know at each new level. That way, the Holy Spirit will reveal deeper truths to you, thereby making your walk with Him an ever-richer experience.
Go Deeper
2 Timothy 2:15; Proverbs 11:9
Pray:
Dear Father, thank you for opening the eyes of my heart to see the truth of your Word beyond the letters. As I study and meditate on your Word today, I receive deeper truths that’ll help me know you more and serve you better, in Jesus’ Name.
