(Don’t Try To “Perform” Before The Lord)
TO THE BIBLE: Romans 3:25 MSG
“God sacrificed Jesus on the altar of the world to clear that world of sin. Having faith in him sets us in the clear. God decided on this course of action in full view of the public—to set the world in the clear with himself through the sacrifice of Jesus, finally taking care of the sins he had so patiently endured.”
LET’S TALK
There are Christians who only get conscious of God’s presence when they’re in church. Therefore, they figure that they need to “perform” or “be on their best behaviour,” hoping to please Him with their sanctimonious actions.
Others are so sin-conscious that they’re fixated only on making no mistakes so God wouldn’t punish them.
They calculate each footstep, smile sheepishly, and greet everybody around them because they think that’s what righteousness is all about! However, that’s not the righteousness the Lord Jesus brought to us, and you shouldn’t live like that: live genuinely and get rid of all eye service!
Jesus Christ has become your righteousness. Boldly affirm that Christ is your righteousness and walk in the light of His righteousness.
It’s like being covered in His glory. You’re not seen; it’s His light and glory that are seen. It’s His power that’s made manifest as you walk in His righteousness.
That’s our blessing as new creatures in Christ Jesus. You don’t have to “performance” before God or achieve your own form of righteousness.
Don’t allow sin and the guilt of your mistakes to dissipate your zeal for God and faith in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
You’ve become the expression of His righteousness because He manifests His righteousness through you. He took your place of sin and gave you His righteousness.
Now, He manifests His righteousness through you. What a glorious reality! Hallelujah!

Speak:
My righteousness is the righteousness of Jesus Christ; therefore, I have boldness in the presence of God to worship Him in righteousness and true holiness. The blood of Jesus gave me access and life, and by His resurrection, I stand justified forever, with dominion over Satan, circumstances and the cohorts of darkness!
