(Encourage His Work In Your Life)
TO THE BIBLE: Philippians 2:13
“For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.”
LET’S TALK
I love the Holy Spirit! Have you ever wondered how people who don’t have Him get through life every day?
It’s amazing to think about what He does in us. Our theme verse shows just how important His role is—He gives us both the desire and the ability to do God’s will.
This doesn’t imply that we just sit back and say, “I won’t do anything unless the Holy Spirit forces me.” That’s not how it works.
There’s a cooperation; it’s a fellowship. The Holy Spirit works with you, not just for you. Both He and you have distinct roles to play.
He won’t control you like a robot, rather, He’ll guide you. As you spend time with Him, you’ll naturally find yourself desirous to do the will of the Father—the willingness is effortless.
Ezekiel 2:2 says, “Then the Spirit entered me when He spoke to me, and set me on my feet.” That’s how He works—He empowers, strengthens, and leads you.
The Bible says in Amos 3:3 KJV, “Can two walk together unless they agree?” There’s a oneness, a unity of purpose, an agreement with Him that’s required. You and the Holy Spirit need to be in sync. The more you lean into Him, the clearer His voice becomes, and the easier it is to follow His lead.
So, encourage the Holy Spirit’s work in your life! Talk to Him, listen to Him, and thank Him for His guidance. Let Him shape your heart with wisdom so that every step you take aligns with God’s perfect will.
