(Living In The Name Of Jesus)
TO THE BIBLE: Acts 17:28
“For in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, “For we are also His offspring.””
LET’S TALK
The Bible says, “And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him” (Colossians 3:17).
That’s the way to live a supernatural life. True Christianity is functioning in the Name of Jesus. That means you’re living for Him in His authority.
How could you be defeated if you live for Him? That’ll be impossible! The Name of Jesus is all powerful and has all authority, but some people don’t know how to function in that Name on a day-to-day basis.
The Lord Jesus taught us how in John 14:12-13, where He said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”
Here, the Lord was teaching us to make demands in His Name. Peter understood this, and he commanded a man who had never walked from birth to rise up and walk in the Name of Jesus (Acts 3:1-6).
The Bible says, “So he (the lame man), leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God” (Acts 3:8).
We’re called to live in the Name of Jesus, the creator of the universe. That’s big, and nothing can compare with it. If you function in His Name and discover there’s a tumour in your body, say, “Tumour, in the Name of Jesus, you can’t stay in this body, I command you to go!” and it’ll go.
If there’s a problem with your heart, say, “Heart, I command you to function normally in the Name of Jesus!” If you had trouble at school, lift your hands and say, “I command the storms in my class to calm down in the Name of Jesus!” And it will be so. Make your life beautiful, and live triumphantly every day, by living in the Name of Jesus.

Pray:
Dear Father, I thank you for giving me the Name of Jesus to use and live by. I live in and by the power of that Name today, and I declare that I’m making progress with giant strides as I fulfil the ministry and destiny that you’ve given me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
