Love Always Triumphs – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional March 10th

(Be Ruled By God’s Love)

TO THE BIBLE: 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

“Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails….”

LET’S TALK
“I never want to speak to you ever again!” Marianne screamed into her phone just before cutting the call on Juan.

Marianne was Juan’s study partner and had asked him to read up on some chapters of a textbook they were to make a presentation on, which Juan didn’t. This eventually led to a low grade score from the lecturer as Juan was unable to deliver his side of the presentation.

Marianne was furious about this, and in spite of Juan’s repeated apologies and pleas for her forgiveness, she refused to walk in love and stopped being friends with Juan.

You see, there are things that can affect a Christian; these aren’t viruses, sicknesses, or diseases, because Jesus stated unequivocally that nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19).

But the things that are dangerous to a Christian are anger, bitterness, fear, unbelief, etc. The Lord doesn’t want such negative things in your heart. “Looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled” (Hebrews 12:15).

The Christian is a partaker of the divine nature; he has the life and nature of God, the nature of love and righteousness (2 Peter 1:4). This is what makes it a great concern when you find Christians who don’t walk in love.

In Luke 6:27, Jesus said, “…Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you.” In the 35th verse, He reiterated the same thing: “But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you” (Luke 6:35). Hallelujah!

Love always triumphs. Love always rules. When you walk in love, you’re a master. He said, “Bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you” (Luke 6:28).

It doesn’t matter what people say about you or against you; you’re unruffled because you’re ruled by love. You remain gracious, kind, and loving, like your heavenly Father. Hallelujah!

Pray:
Dear Father, thank you for the liquid and everlasting love you’ve poured out on us. Now that you’ve imparted to me your character of love to bless and impact my world with, your love reigns and rules in my heart today and always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
