(You Have The Ability To Do Right)

TO THE BIBLE: Galatians 5:1
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.”

LET’S TALK
A bird flies because the ability to do so has been built into it by the Creator. A fish swims in water because it’s got the in-built nature to do so. As a child of God, the divine ability to live right and please God naturally was imparted to your spirit the moment you were born again. That’s Christianity!

A Christian doesn’t struggle to do right. Righteousness, which is the nature of God in your spirit, is a force in you that produces the ability to live right. You’ve been called into liberty and given the ability to live righteously for the Lord.

The reason some Christians struggle with sin is that they’ve never really understood the doctrine of righteousness as revealed in God’s Word.

Righteousness is more than doing what is right; it’s a nature that gives you the ability to do right. It’s a divine element that causes you to act, talk and live right.

If you’re born again, you’re not in bondage to sin or the devil. You can’t be in bondage to any bad habit when you understand who you are in Christ.

Remember Hebrews 12:1 says “…Lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us….” This means you can decide you’re not going to do something wrong and stand your ground, for you have the ability to do right. Make up your mind today to stand firm in the liberty of Christ.

Speak:
I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus; therefore, I don’t struggle to do right, because God’s nature in me gives me the ability to do right. I’m at liberty to serve God with my whole heart and do only those things which are pleasing to Him. Hallelujah!
