(How To Increase God’s Glory In Your Life Every Day)
TO THE BIBLE: Colossians 3:10 AMPC
“And have clothed yourselves with the new [spiritual self], which is [ever in the process of being] renewed and remolded into [fuller and more perfect knowledge upon] knowledge after the image (the likeness) of Him Who created it.”
LET’S TALK
Colossians 3:10 lets us know that the new creation in Christ is constantly being renewed and refreshed through the knowledge of God’s Word. The word “knowledge” is the Greek word “epignosis,” referring to full and absolute knowledge, so the more of the knowledge of God’s Word you have, the more His glory increases in your life!
This will cause the anointing on your life—and His grace at work in you—to increase; your effectiveness and efficiency will also increase.
Colossians 3:16 AMPC says, “Let the word [spoken by] Christ (the Messiah) have its home [in your hearts and minds] and dwell in you in [all its] richness, as you teach and admonish and train one another in all insight and intelligence and wisdom [in spiritual things, and as you sing] psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, making melody to God with [His] grace in your hearts.”
That means you should have God’s Word in abundance in your spirit. As you study the Word, meditate on it and let it give you a new mind-set! It’ll make your life more glorious.
You carry the glory of God in your spirit, and that glory can increase; it can be stronger and produce greater results as you increase your knowledge of the Word.
That is what Apostle Peter meant when he said, “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord” (2 Peter 1:2 KJV).
