(You Have Peace From God)
TO THE BIBLE: John 16:33
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
LET’S TALK
Satan, whom the Bible refers to as the god of this world, is the one responsible for all the mess and chaos in the world today. The way the world is wired, with its structures and systems being driven by selfishness, wickedness, greed and hatred, was designed by Satan.
That’s why it’s impossible to derive true peace from such a system, because it’s founded on darkness. It’s impossible for people who have never received the life and nature of God to deliver true peace. Only Jesus can give lasting peace, happiness, and joy!
In John 14:27, Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” The peace the world is looking for is in Jesus Christ; no wonder it eludes them because they’re searching for it in the wrong places.
The Bible says, “…When they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape” (1 Thessalonians 5:3). This is the dilemma that the world is in today.
The truth is, true peace can only come from God. The peace that you have in your spirit is the peace of Jesus Christ; it’s an oasis from God to us in a world devoid of peace, and it gives us power over crises.
Even in adverse circumstances, when it seems there’s trouble everywhere, His peace garrisons your heart and mind, causing you to be at rest. Hallelujah!
