(Jesus Christ, The Expression Of God’s Good Will)

TO THE BIBLE: Luke 2:14
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”

LET’S TALK
In Luke 2:8–14, we are presented with a remarkable account of the angelic announcement to a group of shepherds near Bethlehem.

As they watched over their flock by night, an angel suddenly appeared before them, and the glory of the Lord surrounded them, filling them with awe and reverence.

The angel reassured the shepherds, urging them not to fear, and then delivered the good news of great joy for all people—the birth of the Saviour in the city of David, who is Christ the Lord.

Furthermore, the angel provided a sign to identify the newborn Saviour: they would find the baby boy wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.

Suddenly, the heavens were filled with a multitude of angels praising God and declaring, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men” (Luke 2:14). What a momentous announcement! His goodwill toward all men hasn’t stopped ever since.

This is our Gospel! This is what Christmas is about! The Bible says, “…God was in Christ, offering peace and forgiveness to the people of this world. And he has given us the work of sharing his message about peace” (2 Corinthians 5:19 CEV).

Today, God is looking at all mankind with peace and goodwill. Jesus Christ was God’s love message, His love letter to the world.

When He came, He was the expression of the Father’s will and His nature of righteousness! He was the manifestation of God’s love.

Now, the most sublime of it all is that He has made us the expression of the Father’s will and nature.

2 Corinthians 5:21 declares, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

In Christ, we’ve been made the righteousness of God. This means that you are today the unveiling of the Father’s heart, the revelation of His will and nature, glory, Hallelujah!

Dear Father, thank you for your love, grace and goodwill towards all men; we take advantage of your goodness and mercy to spread your Word of truth and thereby bring men into the glorious life, peace, blessings and righteousness in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
