(Always Be Alert And On The Look-Out)
TO THE BIBLE Nehemiah 4:17 NASB
“Those who were rebuilding the wall and those who carried burdens carried with one hand doing the work, and the other keeping hold of a weapon.”
LET’S TALK
As they rebuilt the broken walls of Jerusalem, Nehemiah and his fellow Jews were faced with intense opposition from their enemies.
Those folks were determined to stop the building by any evil means, even if it included killing the builders.
Nehemiah got wind of their intentions, so he led God’s people to continue building but, this time, he prepared them to ward off any attack.
Each builder held a weapon in one hand while working with the other, and took every necessary precaution against any assault from the enemy.
Now, this was written for our learning (Romans 15:4). We’re partners and co-workers with the Lord in building His Church as we win souls and carry out the work of the ministry.
Yet, while carrying out this assignment, we must be ready to fight against the decrees of darkness intended to force us to live in a world that’s hostile to the Gospel.
Knowing that his time is short, Satan is trying to move ahead to create an “antichrist environment” before his time.
So, we must be alert, keen-eyed, and on the offensive! 1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be of sober spirit, be on the alert.
Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” Stay awake and alert; listen with your spirit as you speak in tongues and meditate on the Scriptures.
The Lord will give you strategies and guidance on how to effectively dismantle the structures of the adversary.
Refuse to be moved by the confusion, fear and deception in the world today. By the power of God’s Spirit, we (the Church) are exercising our authority in Christ and bringing in the new order of things.
Get vitally involved in this. Pray like you’ve never done! When we call for days of global prayer and fasting, make sure to participate.
We’re setting in place a new world order in the spirit, where the Gospel has free course. And this is all in preparation for the soon return of our Lord and King, Hallelujah!

Speak:
I’m strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Today, I take charge of situations from the realm of the spirit. I stand against any attempt of the devil to force the Church to live in a world of the beast before his time. Until the rapture of the Church, the Name of Jesus Christ shall be glorified in all nations, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
