(The Lord Won’t Steer You Wrong, So Trust His Guidance Only)
TO THE BIBLE: Proverbs 3:5-6 TLB
“If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for good judgment and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; don’t ever trust yourself. In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.”
LET’S TALK
Our existence transcends the ordinary thinking process, mere guesswork, and reliance on experts who sometimes let us down.
History is rife with examples of disappointment across various professions and industries, underscoring a crucial truth: Success in life cannot be achieved through human wisdom alone.
It’s with this understanding that we must appreciate and depend on the guidance and leadership of the Holy Spirit.
Remember Jesus said, “…I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen” (Matthew 28:20). This He makes possible through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.
Consider the words of Jesus in John 16:13: “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.” Isn’t that wonderful?
The Holy Spirit is our sure and dependable guide. He will never steer you down the wrong path. With the Holy Spirit, you won’t be left stumbling in the dark, uncertain about your path or decisions in life. He illuminates the truth and reveals the future, ensuring that your hope is focused and your direction is clear.
Something absolutely remarkable is the fact that He empowers us to change the future that He reveals to us that’s not consistent with His perfect will. We have the ability to shape our own destinies.
Some may find this hard to fathom, but it’s the truth revealed in the Word. Let your faith be based on God’s holy Word, and be ever-reliant and dependent on the Holy Spirit for guidance and direction in and for all things. Praise God!
