TO THE BIBLE: 2 Corinthians 5:18 AMPC
“…All things are from God, Who through Jesus Christ reconciled us to Himself [received us into favor, brought us into harmony with Himself] and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation [that by word and deed we might aim to bring others into harmony with Him].”
LET’S TALK
“It’s raining; maybe I should go tomorrow to Zack’s house,” a thought that came to Ronald’s mind as he lazed away on his bed. He had initially wanted to share the Gospel with his new neighbour, Zack, who lived few blocks away from his home.
Then he thought, “What if I don’t get another opportunity to tell him about Jesus? No, I can’t risk it!” I’ll go, no matter how the weather is!” So he got up, showered, and he went in the rain to preach the Gospel to Zack, who received the life of Christ that day.
Not every Christian is actively participating in the ministry of reconciliation. It’s not meant to be so.
We’re all expected to be active and very effectual in soul winning. The day would come when we all stand before the Master and every one of us would receive praise of Him (1 Corinthians 4:5).
The Lord is going to reward us according to our works: “For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works” (Matthew 16:27).
It’s clear that God’s number one passion is soul winning; therefore, put everything into it. Be active, very active, in the ministry of reconciliation.
2 Peter 3:9 says, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”
The Lord’s overwhelming passion to reconcile people to Himself is emphasised in the assignment He gave to Jesus, buttressed by these words of the Master Himself: “..I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).
Take this seriously. Every day, talk to others about Jesus. Do it in your neighbourhood, in your estate, and then go beyond that too! Praise God!

Dear Father, I thank you for the opportunity to actively win souls today. The light of your glorious Gospel shines brightly in the nations as we proclaim your truth in all the earth; every resistance is broken, and men’s hearts are open to receive our message for their salvation. Satan’s bondage and deception are destroyed, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
