(He Doesn’t Always Go For The Most Qualified)
TO THE BIBLE: 1 Corinthians 1:27
“…God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty.”
LET’S TALK
Many years ago, the Lord spoke to me when I was a young teenager. It was the first time I had a personal encounter with God. He said to me, “I want you to take my people into their inheritance.”
At that time, I had no knowledge of any inheritance in Christ. I was just starting out, and no one had taught me about it.
In children’s church, we learned about serving God with reverence and love, and I heard many beautiful Bible stories, but no one ever mentioned anything about an inheritance in Christ.
However, when God told me to lead His people into their inheritance, I simply accepted it. I believed Him even though I didn’t fully understand the instruction. I knew He would show me what it meant, and He did.
Since then, I have been committed to fulfilling that calling. My experience with the Lord aligns with what the Apostle Paul said in Ephesians 3:8: “To me, though I am the very least of all the saints (God’s consecrated people), this grace (favor, privilege) was granted and graciously entrusted: to proclaim to the Gentiles the unending (boundless, fathomless, incalculable, and exhaustless) riches of Christ [wealth which no human being could have searched out]” (AMPC).
Think about it: If God was seeking the most qualified individuals, Jesus would have been born in a palace and raised as royalty, but that wasn’t the case as it says in 1 Corinthians 1:26 NIV, “Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.”
2 Corinthians 3:5 reminds us that our competence or ability doesn’t come from ourselves but from God. He’s the One who has called you and endowed you with supernatural abilities to carry out His work.
Never look down on yourself or think there’s nothing special about you. He’s made you competent, so look beyond your physical ability.
Always remember that you’re special to Him, and He’s divinely enabled you to fulfil His calling on your life.

Pray:
Dear Father, thank you for your love and for the purpose you have for my life. You have chosen me for a special work and entrusted me with the glorious Gospel. Through me, many will come to know Christ and receive their inheritance in Him, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
