(Your Life Was Planned By The Lord Before You Were Born)
TO THE BIBLE: Jeremiah 1:5 MSG
“Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you. Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you: a prophet to the nations—that’s what I had in mind for you.”
LET’S TALK
Have you ever reflected on the above scripture? It’s a marvellous verse of scripture: “I knew you before you were formed within your mother’s womb; before you were born I sanctified you and appointed you as my spokesman to the world” (Jeremiah 1:5 TLB). This means Jeremiah was chosen by God to speak for Him before he was born.
Now, the beautiful thing is, this reality is the same with you: God chose you before you were born too. Hallelujah!
The Bible says, “For those whom He (God) foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son…” (Romans 8:29 AMPC).
You see, the word “foreknow” used above doesn’t just mean knowing about someone; it connotes “to have a special interest in.” God has a special interest in you, and He’s planned your life. Before you were born, He set you apart for His special work.
The Apostle Paul personalised this verse from Jeremiah when he said, “But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles…” (Galatians 1:15-16).
Paul knew he was a chosen vessel to turn the Gentiles from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God!
There’re those who aren’t aware of their duty to preach the Gospel, and so they keep coming up with excuses. Don’t be that way; choose to embrace the mandate and preach the gospel everywhere (Matthew 28:19-20).
It’s not a job for the pastors and teachers alone; you’re to spread the divine message of reconciliation as well (2 Corinthians 5:17-21). Make this your prime focus and experience true fulfilment in your life.

Speak:
My passion for the Gospel, which is committed to my trust, is constantly refuelled, and I’m continually stirred in my spirit to do more. Through me, many are coming to the knowledge of Christ, and into their inheritance in Him. Glory to God!
