How do I get over my addictions?

How to handle addiction

Would my talking to them change things?

Answer:

In handling addictions, you’re to speak to yourself not your addictions. Proverbs 25: 28 tells us that “He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.” This means that when you don’t have control over your spirit, anything can gain access into your life– the enemy can come in anytime.

Expressing love toward others

Expressing love towards others

Dear Pastor Chris, how I can express love toward others?

Answer:

Love is one of the qualities of the recreated human spirit. The Bible says that God is love and as God’s children, we’re expected to love. You can go through 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 to see the qualities of love. You have the ability to love and work at it because the Bible says anyone who believes in God is expected to walk in love (Ephesians 5:2). Now, the first principle for expressing love is to accept others as you would yourself.

...making the right decision.

Making right decisions

Dear Pastor Chris, how do I know when I’m making the right decision?

Answer:

There are people who are of the opinion that when they feel good about a decision, it’s the right one. Feeling good about a decision has nothing to do with it being right or wrong. You can make a good decision and feel bad about it and you can make a bad decision and feel good about it. So it’s got nothing to do with how you feel.

How can I overcome doubt, fear...

QA on fear anxiety

Dear Pastor Chris, how can I overcome doubt, fear, panic attacks and anxiety?

Answer:

All of them are closely related; fear is the mother of panic attacks and anxiety. Fear is actually faith in the ability of the adversary to hurt, defeat and destroy you. Doubt, on the other hand, is a kind of fear that shows in your lack of confidence in yourself, in God’s presence and in His love.

...it seems like God takes long before He answers my prayer.

...it seems like God takes long before He answers my prayer.

Dear Pastor Chris, it seems like God takes long before He answers my prayer. Why is this so?

Answer:

God doesn’t take long to answer anybody’s prayer. The truth is God hears and answers you as soon as you pray and the Bible proves this. You may say, “But people don’t receive the answers all the time immediately.” Yes they don’t and it’s not God’s fault but theirs.
